PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

At the present time very many different kinds of guiding and separating systems are in use for road and path construction. They differ in the material from which they are produced, and by their form and function. As a rule the elements are produced from concrete or plastic.

The guiding and separating element from HET Elastomertechnik is a path-breaking alternative to conventional concrete kerbs or other delimiting elements in public transport. It serves not only to provide an optical barrier between various segments of the road but also for securing grass verges and the edges of roads or paths.

They can also be used for laying out traffic islands or marking off petrol stations and parking areas. The variable height of the elements makes it easier for pedestrians, cyclists and wheelchair users to cross them at all intersections such as driveways, etc.

Thanks to their very high stability, the elements are produced without metal parts inside for reinforcement. In addition, the extremely good elastic properties ensure an enormous reduction of injuries. Chamfering of the profile on the upper edge also prevents damage to tyres running up against the kerb or when parking on the pavement. The delimiting elements can be easily installed either permanently or provisionally on an asphalt or concrete base. The elements can be produced in various colours or fitted with reflectors.
