Sustainability

Sustainability, conserving resources, saving energy and using non-harmful materials are challenges that we are committed to mastering.

Sustainability and our society

Sustainability is a topic that has been with us since our founding. We believe our responsibility for the environment is a central issue in our society, and we make a large contribution to this with our products, since they are made of recycled materials, as well as being recyclable themselves.

At the same time, we help our customers to contribute to protecting the environment by using recycled materials. We are excited to be making a meaningful and active contribution to protecting the environment with our products by giving used tires a second life. It is our hope that this will make us something of a role model for our customers and business partners, and inspire them when it comes to protecting our world and its resources.  This, in turn, benefits each and every one of us and increases our quality of life, both now and for future generations.

As a company, we believe it is our responsibility to have a positive ecological footprint. One way we achieve this is by optimizing our recycling process. All our molded parts are made of high-quality crumb rubber and specially selected granule sizes from the material processing of tires, bonded with a special polyurethane binder. The Technigom range of tire granules we use, which we produce ourselves, complies with TS 14243 (rubber), NF EN 15 330 and NF P 90-112 (artificial turf) standards and REACH regulations. This allows us to monitor exactly which tires are processed into our high-quality rubber granules for the sports and recreation sectors. Our customers’ health and safety are our top priority!

In the manufacturing of our products, all work processes, developments and documentation are in compliance with the regulations of DIN EN 9001 et seq. and 14001. The guaranteed and ensured product properties in particular can be verified by means of respective test certificates issued by independent experts and institutes. Strict tests are especially necessary when using materials from the raw material cycle to ensure the homogeneity and quality of the materials used.

Sustainability and the rubber cycle

The European Union has prohibited the disposal of used tires in landfills since 1999, but leaves the recycling procedure to its member states. Cooperating with the French system seemed to make sense to us. The French system in particular imposes a shared responsibility on tire manufacturers. They recycle their products through the Aliapur Group. The raw materials used are sourced exclusively from certified companies in the EU. For us as a member of the association, the used tires are a fully recycled product in the raw material of the rubber granules. By producing it, we not only help to solve a waste disposal and environmental problem, we also save around 70 percent of energy and water. For us, ecology and economy no longer have to be at odds with each other. To ensure the product properties of our molded parts, they are compacted according to the specific application. We are happy to provide proof of quality assurance upon request. To ensure a consistently high quality standard, our molded parts are manufactured industrially. The products are ecologically neutral and do not release any substances that are hazardous to the health or to the environment.

Because not all tire rubber types are the same and the quality of the granules as an intermediate product depends on numerous factors, including age and method of production, Aliapur created the Technigom label. The HET group is one of two certified manufacturers of Technigom. The tires used for the Technigom granules come exclusively from the French market, from specialized dealers who monitor the quality of the used tires in accordance with Aliapur’s strict standards before forwarding them through traceable channels. After removal of the metal and tire cord (fluff) from the tire substructure, Technigom is the result of a very fine grinding process. The discarded tire has now become a pure product, the quality of which undergoes random testing by independent laboratories.
