2. Collection and Storage of Personal Data as well as the Nature and Purpose of Their Use
a. When visiting the website
When accessing our website www.het-group.com, information is automatically sent by the browser used on your device to the server of our website. This information is temporarily stored in a so-called log file. The following information is collected without any action on your part and stored until automated deletion:

b. When Using Our Contact Form
For questions of any kind, we offer you the possibility to contact us using a form provided on the website. Providing a valid email address, your name, and a subject line is required so that we know who sent the request and can respond accordingly. Further information may be provided voluntarily.
When you contact us by email or via our contact form, the data you provide will be stored by us in order to answer your questions and, if necessary, send you information material related to your inquiry. Storage takes place pursuant to Article 6(1)(a) GDPR based on your voluntarily given consent or pursuant to Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for contractual or pre-contractual communication.
The data collected in this context will be deleted within three months if no contractual relationship is established. If a contractual relationship is concluded, the data will be deleted after termination of the contractual relationship unless statutory retention obligations (e.g. Section 147 AO) prevent deletion.
c. When Using Our Contact Email Address
Alternatively, you may contact us via the email address provided. In this case, the personal data transmitted with the email will be stored. The data will not be passed on to third parties and will be used exclusively for processing the conversation.
The legal basis for processing data transmitted in the course of sending an email is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. If the email contact aims at concluding a contract, the additional legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. In the case of contact by email, processing the inquiry also constitutes the necessary legitimate interest in processing the data.
The data will be deleted as soon as it is no longer required for the purpose for which it was collected, i.e. once the conversation has ended and the matter has been conclusively clarified.
Trade Fair Contact Form
Within the framework of our trade fair contact form, we process the data you provide carefully and in accordance with applicable data protection regulations, in particular the GDPR.
a. Processing and Transmission of Data: Your data is transmitted exclusively via an encrypted HTTPS connection to our servers in order to prevent unauthorized access. The form data remains on our HET server and is not transferred unencrypted to third-party systems. During subsequent communication with you, we use personalized data by integrating salutation, first name, and last name into emails sent to the email address you provided.
b. Deletion Periods: The data you provide in the contact form will be deleted from our server after the ticket has been sent or no later than 60 days after collection.For internal purposes, such as transmitting the ticket code and enabling contact by our sales department, we store the data permanently in our ERP system. This storage is carried out exclusively to fulfill our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), e.g. to inform you about future events, special promotions, or other relevant offers.
c. Purposes of Processing: The data you provide is primarily processed for the transmission of the ticket code. In addition, we use your data for the following purposes:
- Contact by our sales department regarding further trade fair coordination, offers, or services
- Sending invitations to future trade fairs or events
- Carrying out marketing campaigns
- Analysis and improvement of our marketing and sales strategies
d. Additional Information: Your data will not be disclosed to third parties unless this is necessary for the fulfillment of contractual obligations or you have expressly consented. You have the right at any time to receive information about the data stored by us, to request correction or deletion, and to object to further processing of your data. Your personal data will not be transferred to third parties for purposes other than those listed below.

During your website visit, we use the widely used SSL procedure (Secure Socket Layer) in conjunction with the highest level of encryption supported by your browser. As a rule, this is 256-bit encryption. If your browser does not support 256-bit encryption, we instead use 128-bit v3 technology.
